A. A. Spectrum: LIQUIDALLOY - FLORA
Autumn Winter 23 collection, LIQUIDALLOY-FLORA, a directional blend of water like designs, inspired by liquid metal and Chinese chrysanthemums
The international team behind A.A. Spectrum has created a collection called LIQUIDALLOY-FLORA that draws inspiration from a blend of cross-cultural references and influences, from various parts of the world, including China, Switzerland, Berlin, and London, to create a truly global collection. This collection combines elements from both Eastern and Western cultures.
LIQUIDALLOY-FLORA takes its inspiration from two main sources. First, it draws from the hypnotic forms and hues of molten metal. Second, it incorporates Chinese chrysanthemums, particularly the flower of the ninth moon, which is symbolic of autumn, joy, and longevity. The chrysanthemum's geometric dome-like blooms and unique petals have influenced the soft, spherical structure of the collection and the surface artworks, which were created by underground Swiss artist Cédric Muller using algorithmic codes generated from the brand's creative references.
The collection also takes inspiration from metallic elements, with an ionised colour palette that includes steel greys, rusty coppers, sage greens, optic white, and cobalt blues, mirroring the colours found in the iridescent fluid of molten alloy. LIQUIDALLOY-FLORA represents a mature and refined chapter for A.A. Spectrum, showcasing the brand's commitment to design innovation while focusing on product consolidation and sustainability.
The brands central mission is guided by compassion, based on a Ren, the Chinese character for human beings, showing the brands care for people and those who wear and make their clothes. There is no boundary, only flow. There are no divisions, only integration. There is no uniformity, only diversity. It's not all about wrong or right. It's not all about black or white. It's All About Spectrum!
