Chrome glints under neon, candy-painted Impalas glide past Shibuya crossings, and for a moment, Los Angeles feels just a little closer.
What began in 1940s East LA as a statement of Chicano identity and resistance — a way of saying "we move on our own terms" — has found a new rhythm in Japan's capital.

1940年代のイーストLAで、チカーノのアイデンティティと抵抗の表明として始まった「我々は自分たちのやり方で行動する」というスローガンは、今や日本の首都で新たなリズムを生み出している。
